NEW PHOBIAS NEED NAMES

Recent research has found that there are many phobias that do not yet have names.  We urgently need the correct Ancient Greek terminology so that those inflected can be correctly treated.

Below are 8 common phobias

Fear of failing the Turing Test [.ie,  being mistaken for a machine]

Fear of being oneself

Fear of not knowing one is phobic

Fear of not being able to describe this phobia

Fear of not knowing the appropriate Greek jargon to describe a phobia

Fear of being eaten with tomato sauce

Fear of seeing oneself or part of oneself

Fear of being attacked by dinosaurs

There are more - estimates range from 43.52763 to 435276422333378239 x 3.126731522139.

Watch this space.  And please inform us of the correct Greek terminology ASAP as possible.

klangfarbenmelodiefurcht

or farbenklangmelodiefurcht

perhaps melodieklangfarbenfurcht ?

this is not equivalent to PierrotLunaireSchoenbergfurcht.

Indeed.

I myself suffer from NeuesSachebrechenFurcht and Luposlipaphobia. Arachnaphobia and claustrophobia can get lost.

--A mighty warrior to strike fear into our hearts.

ONLY A RUDIMENTARY KNOW. OF LATIN & GERMANIA

You have a fear of new sachets [sachels?] of [tea?] breaking when you are in Germany; and if in Rome a fear of a wolf's slipper [being spanked with one? - would've thought Lupocaninephobia [canine in teeth] would've been a greater fear] or perhaps you have a fear of slipping in [& out] of wolfness - maybe enlightenment for us poor monolinguals is necessary [maybe I have bilinqualphobia].

NeuesSachebrechenFurcht and Luposlipaphobia

NeuesSachebrechenFurcht- fear of new stuff breaking
luposlipaphobia- fear of being pursued round a kitchen table by timber wolves on a newly polished floor wearing socks.

A fear missing from your list

The fear of being forgotten after death. TV and movie vilains have it all the time!

I hope none of you

have a phobia of being answered [I must get a Latin dictionary].

Caleb, I used to have your fear of being forgotten after death.  But I soon decided that that fate awaits us all however famous we are and for how long.  And as Woody Allen said [I'm sure not in these exact words], 'I would rather be living in my apartment than through my works.

And of course Atlas, while holding the world up for eternity I could see you could acquire a fear of being wrong.  Jake, Carlos's big brother in my play 'STEP ON A CRACK' tells Carlos that nothing happens unless you know it.  So if you never knew you were wrong then you never would be !

Yes - a very sophistic perspective.
