Holiday Seminars workshops teach to an ability range first and foremost and therefore the students are grouped into a broad age range rather than narrow age bands. If you feel your child would fit better into the junior or senior seminar please discuss this with the organiser. Often students at the upper end of the junior group, or lower end of the senior group will, for a variety of reasons, fit more comfortably into either seminar.
Sometimes workshops of a similar nature appear in both the Junior and the Senior programmes Where this occurs the material will of course be similar for both groups though not exactly the same and the sessions will differ in structure and presentation. The sessions for the younger students will begin an exploration of the subject, encompassing as much basic information as time restrictions allow together with role play, discussion and activities appropriate for the age range of the group. The ideas are more fully developed for the older students, incorporating much more sophisticated information and analysis. At the same time the units for each group are independently defined and do not rely upon previous knowledge or experience or attendance at a previous seminar.
