A range of speakers is lined up for Saturday 20th March 2010 at the Albany Campus of Massey University, Auckland. The event is titled: Future Directions in Gifted Education: Informing the Professionals- and promises to be an action packed day that will attract growing numbers of non professionals also. Featured speakers include The Hon. Heather Roy (Associate Minister of Education), Chris Harwood (Manager, Learning & Teaching, Ministry of Education), Dr. Valerie Margrain (Lecturer, Massey University College of Education), Viv Russell (Rutherford College) and last, but by no means least, Prof. Michael Piechowski (Senior Fellow of the Institue for Educational Advancement and Professor Emeritus of Education and Psychology, Northland College, Ashland, Wisconsin). Michael Piechowski is a special name indeed in education and has dedicated many years investigating the emotional and spiritual world of the gifted child and young person. Not to be missed!
