There have been a number of enquiries about the possibility of an on-going game - i.e. meet on a regular basis perhaps twice each month.  This seems to be more popular as an idea than an on-line game.  If enough people are interested we will ask the games team if they would be prepared to organise it.  We need a core group of committed players, however.   If this sounds like you then email: info [at] holidayseminars [dot] co [dot] nz with subject DIPLOMACY.

There are some really innovative new workshops in our July school holidays programme: For the junior group a beginner's course in LATIN makes a come back after a ten year absence for history lovers who would like to try their hand at the language spoken by the Romans.   For mathematicians there are two totally new classes combining more than a little creativity with the subject - FASCINATING FRACTALS and MINDS EYE MATHS. Yet another new history option makes its debut KING TUT'S TOMB whilst for those who want to solve knot problems will be able to do so in ROPE TRICKS.   On Day One we have a day long visit from STARLAB, back after a two year absence and a number of your old favourites are of course present.

The senior group are not forgotten with new workshops such as ICONIC CITY ART where you can get to grips with graffitti, you can solve classroom problems via CLASSROOM THINK TANK or maybe have a look at mystifying languages in XTRA SECRET LINGO.   A range of design options are back IDEAL HOME, DAZZLING DESIGNS, AMAZING ARCHITECTS together with PSYCHOLOGY IN FOCUS and SCENE OF THE CRIME.

And yes - DIPLOMACY is most definitely part of both programmes!

Very special `get better really soon' wishes go to Liam Millar and his family.  Regular seminar attendees will know Liam and also of course,  Allistair, his father, who is one of our regular supervisors.  Unfortunately, on their way to Auckland the Millar family was involved in a serious road traffic accident and all were hospitalised with injuries.

We all missed them and I know all of you will join me in sending them very best wishes for a speedy recovery.   Jean HH
