More Ideas for Workshops

Very many thanks to Rhys Roberts and Lewis Stevens for your joint idea.   Rhys and Lewis would very much like us to arrange a Junior Diplomacy Whole Day Seminar for July.  We will give this excellent idea some serious thought.

April School Holiday Courses - Payment Info

We encourage payment on-line via Direct Credit into the Trust bank account or by ordinary Deposit from your own bank - however, do take care when making these payments that you attach the student's name (or you can contact our office with these details).   If you do not identify your payment in some way this can cause confusion.   You can also pay by cheque or cash but if you wish to make a cash payment contact us at 09 585 0111 to arrange a time.

Your ideas and input - School Holiday Workshops 2009

Many thanks to ERIN HAMPTON, JOSH MITCHELL, CARLIE LEWIS and DAMON SPENCER for the splendid ideas you have sent in recently regarding courses you are keen for us to organise.  Top of the list at present are:

CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION FOR JUNIORS

ASTRONOMY

PAINTING FOR SERIOUS YOUNG ARTISTS

ELECTRONICS

We will be in touch with possible tutors in all the above fields just as soon as possible - and in the interim, keep your ideas coming in!

April School Holidays - all the latest!

Our `new look' timetable of revolving workshops is proving very popular as we hoped, giving junior seminar participants the opportunity to try a wider range of topics during the three days they spend with us.   At the same time the restructuring for the senior group is allowing the students to study their chosen areas in greater depth than was previously possible.

DIPLOMACY lovers please note that several devotees have indicated their desire for us to arrange a class for them and this now looks possible.   Remember if YOU are keen, get in touch asap if you would like to be added to the list.

Students intending to enroll for seminars later this year may be interested in the totally new course now being developed by James Bagnall - USING YOUR BRAIN.   The course will cover many aspects of brain development from infancy to adulthood with specific reference to how optimum learning is achieved, what impedes learning, and the very special place drugs and addiction play in hastening  brain deterioration.   This Bagnall course is not to be missed.

Diplomacy

We have had a number of requests to add a DIPLOMACY workshop to our April seminars. There will be an opportunity for the Junior Group to play (Strategy Games option) - but we were going to give the Seniors a `rest' from the game this time....this has proved to be somewhat unpopular and has caused howls of rage from some quarters.   DO NOT DESPAIR!  If enough of you agitate then Patrick and Elroy have agreed to run a  course for the seniors but be aware that this may mean you play DIPLOMACY for 3 whole days and do nothing else.    Those of you feeling desperate should email info [at] holidayseminars [dot] co [dot] nz - subject: DIPLOMACY.
