We gathered a variety of comments from questionnaires distributed on Day 3 of each seminar. The children were not required to identify themselves - simply to comment on the courses and the tutors and to add any general comment they felt was relevant to their individual experience.

Junior Group:

`I liked The Sound of Music, Reach For The Stars and Sorceror's Apprentice very much indeed'

`I loved it a lot'

`I most liked Strategy Games'

`I liked it all and Ken Ring is a very nice teacher because he is very interesting'.

`I loved Toy Box Technology.'

`I extremely enjoyed Toy Box Technology and Secret Codes & Ciphers but Toy Box was the best.'

`Next time I really want to try Diplomacy.'

`I liked every workshop and every tutor a lot. I liked Nicholas Oram particularly because of his lunchtime poetry and performances.'

`I've put three ticks by Nicholas Oram because I really liked his poetry at lunchtime.'

`Word Wizardry was heaps of fun. I loved it.'

The standard of achievement was extremely high in both groups with a number of students awarded High Achievement Certificates. After much deliberation and debate the prizes went to the following students:

Junior Seminar:

The Junior Supreme Medal Winners were:

Senior Seminar:
Prizes were awarded to: REBECCA BLAKEBROUGH, STEFAN TESIC-DURIC, LINDA GU, JAMIE FENTON and MERCEDES BISHOP.

KERRY APPLETON and CALLUM BLACKMORE.

Two successful Achieving Potential Seminars took place at Selwyn College during the holidays with one hundred and thirty students taking part over the six day period. Attendees came from places as far and widely dispersed as Wellington and Whangarei, and lots of places inbetween.
Elaine le Sueur's CSI workshops proved immensely popular and eighteen eager sleuths used their combined mental acuity to solve a grisly murder. The Judge presiding over the Depositions Hearing was particularly intimidating in traditional garb.
Future entrepreneurs were much taken with Gail Romano's WHY WE TRADE and ENTERPRISE sessions and of course Paul Willis was received as enthusiastically as ever with COSTUME DESIGN and BRUSH UP YOUR SHAKESPEARE.
The younger students were greatly taken with Gloria Witheford's travelling STARLAB and no need to report that Ken Ring was as popular as ever!
The weather was moderately kind to us overall and in any case everyone had heaps of fun despite the occasional wintry blast.
